Candles Part II... Perparing & Blessing "Dressing" is a term most often used to mean" Blessing" or anointing the candle with blessing oil, herbs or water. Some practitioners, will use salt to purify their candles, I prefer using "Blessed Oil", or " Blessed Water". This is done to power your candle to help your rituals be more successful and affirm the intent. Start in the middle of the candle with a few drops of oil, rub from the middle up to the wick, then the middle down to the end. It is very important that you concentrate upond the symbolism or the intent which the candle has in your ritual. While anointing the candle firmly set in mind the vibrotory influence which the candle will have during the ritual. this is the intent for the candle. Repete "Chanting" your intent helps set the affirmed vibrotory influence.
