| ... I would like to thank you for your visit to my site and for the interest in learning about me. When I started this web site, I was a little apprehensive, because I have always been a kind of private person and did not want it to appear like I was seeking some kind of recognition. . Nor, do I want you to think I’m trying to change anyone to my way of faith, and certianly I am not downing anyones own personal belief with this web site. I just would like to offer and teach some new possibilities and different alternatives to the world around you. ... I had always celebrated my personal beliefs with a small group of my family and friends, we call "félagið"pronounced fel`agio, meaning (the fellowship). In our circle we have no one, set leader. We are all as equals, though being last of my line in my family to practice the Forn Siðr. I have been taking the self-proclaimed position of "Gyðia" or Gythia(A sort of feminine chieftain), only to keep us organized. I am a member of a couple of the North American Asatru groups, along with other witches’ networks and active support groups, which I have proudly listed within my web site. |
| ... I make no claim to have special magical powers. What I do process though is a trust and knowledge of my faith of the Asatru's (Forn Siðr.)the and our Runes, how to use these beliefs and rituals and faith to help me achieve some outstanding goals, overcome some increditable diversity and to find inner spiritual peace. | ||
| ... I was born, raised and lived in New England ( central Maine)... I moved to Tennessee because of a failed marriage and a fresh start. . Soon after came more changes that sent me on my path I am on today. In 1998 my mother was diagnosed with cancer. This is when I started to realize I was next to replace her in the order of things. She passed away in 2001. .Losing my mother as my support system during my transition in Tennessee, I found myself alone and without any relative family. | ||
| ... This is when I started depending on my faith and my goddess “Os`tara". This helped me to concentrate only on the positive energy around me, which was hard with so much negative energy thrust at me all at once. I had to start over in a new part of the country, my Mother passing away, and lack of finances. . I managed to triumph over my challenges with my faith, the belief in the old ways, as I was taught. | ||
| ... Today almost 10 years later, my faith in Forn Siar, my Asatru belief is stronger than ever, and has helped me to become more understanding and the open-minded individual that I am today. I have been blessed to have been able to choose a new family that surrounds me with love and support. . I live in the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee, with my new husband. Here I feel connected and I find my balance for my spiritual strength. | ||
| ... I strongly believe in free will, and will take a stand in protecting it. I also feel that the earth does not belong to mankind, but mankind belongs to the earth and we need to care, and learn from her... I have a passion for animals and tending to my botanical gardens during the summer. I enjoy the outdoors, nature and meeting new people. | ||
| ...Again thank you taking time to read about me. . I hope you find the anwsers you are searching for in your own life as I have in mine. | ||
